Based on the below information answer the following questions:

P, Q, R, S, T and U are six lectures in a college each teaching a different subject Mathematics, Physics, Sociology, Biology, Geography and History not necessarily in the same order. There are only four female lectures following information given:

i. Q teaches History
ii. No female lecturer teaches Biology or Mathematics
iii. S, who teaches Sociology, is the oldest.
iv. P is older than R and teaches physics
v. The youngest teaches Biology and U is not the youngest
vi. T teaches mathematics and is older than P but younger than Q and U

Question 91

If all lectures arranged in ascending order of their ages, What will be the position of the two male lectures?

Solution

Write down the given information in the table.

Here the age is ranked in ascending order. (1 is the youngest while 6 means the oldest).

Apart from this, there is some more information that T is older than P but younger than Q and U

And P is older than R, U is not the youngest.

Given T is older than P. So, T is not the youngest, P is older than R so P is not the youngest. Also, P is younger than Q and U, So both are not the youngest. The remaining one is R and he is the youngest.

Since it is given the youngest teaches Biology R teaches biology.

Now the subjects are clear and from that, we can say the gender as well. (From point 2)

T is older than P but younger than Q and U.

From this age of Q, U>T>P

So P's rank in age is 2, T's is 3.

The ordering of R, T is 1,3.
