Solution

The pattern is :

1500 - 100 = 1400

1400 - 116 (= 100 + 16) = 1284

1284 - 164 (= 116 + 16*3) = 1120

1120 - 308 (= 164 + 48*3) = 812

812 - 740 (=308 + 144*3) = 72
