Solution

Pattern of series,

$$({9}\times{0.5}) + 1$$ = 5.5

$$({5.5}\times{1}) + 2$$ = 7.5

$$({7.5}\times{2}) + 4$$ = 19

$$({19}\times{4}) + 8$$ = 84

$$({84}\times{8}) + 16$$ = 688

therefore the answer is 688
