Ram is 4 times his son's age today. Five years hence, Ram will be thrice his son's age. Find their current ages?

Solution

Let the son's age be x years then Ram's age will be 4x years

According to the question,

3(x+5) = 4x + 5

3x + 15 = 4x + 5

x = 10

Hence, Son's age = 10 and Ram's age = 40 years.
