The number of mobile phones sold of company A during July is approximately what percent of the number of mobile phones sold of company A during December?

Solution

Number of mobiles sold by company A during July = $$\frac{8}{15}$$ x 17% of 45000 = 4080
Number of mobiles sold by company A during December = $$\frac{7}{16}$$ x 16% of 45000 = 3150
Percentage = $$\frac{4080}{4050}$$ x 100 = 129.52 ≈ 130%
