The sum due in 219 days hence whose present worth at 5.5% of Rs. 400 is

Solution

$$S.I. = \frac{P \times R \times T}{100}$$

Here, $$P = 400 , R = 5.5 \% , T = \frac{219}{365}$$

Substituting above values, we get :

=> $$S.I. = \frac{400 \times 5.5 \times \frac{219}{365}}{100}$$

= $$\frac{22 \times 219}{365} = 13.20$$

$$\therefore$$ Amount due = $$400 + 13.20 = Rs. 413.20$$
