Question 75

If '$$+$$' means '$$\times$$', '$$\times$$' means '$$-$$', '$$\div$$' means '$$+$$' and '$$-$$' means '$$\div$$', then find the value of $$125 - 5 ÷ 15 + 2 \times 4 + 3$$.

Solution

$$125 - 5 ÷ 15 + 2 \times 4 + 3$$.

'$$+$$' means '$$\times$$', '$$\times$$' means '$$-$$', '$$\div$$' means '$$+$$' and '$$-$$' means '$$\div$$'

$$125 \div 5 + 15 \times 2 - 4 \times 3$$

$$=25 + 15 \times 2 - 4 \times 3$$

$$=25 + 30 - 12$$

$$=43$$

Option A is correct.
