Which of the following is an equivalent cyclic process corresponding to the thermodynamic cyclic given in the figure? Where, $$1 \to 2$$ is adiabatic. (Graphs are schematic and are not to scale)
For process $$1 \to 2$$:
$$\text{Adiabatic expansion: } P \text{ decreases, } V \text{ increases.}$$
$$T V^{\gamma-1} = \text{constant} \implies \text{As } V \text{ increases, } T \text{ must decrease (curved line up and left).}$$
For process $$2 \to 3$$:
$$P = \text{constant (Isobaric compression)}$$
$$V \propto T \implies \text{Straight line directed towards the origin as both } V \text{ and } T \text{ decrease.}$$
For process $$3 \to 1$$:
$$V = \text{constant (Isochoric pressure increase)}$$
$$P \propto T \implies \text{As } P \text{ increases, } T \text{ must increase (horizontal straight line pointing right).}$$
