The total production of all type of cars, except type B, in 2012 is what percent less than the total production of all types of cars in 2016?
Solution
From the given table,
As per the instructions, total production of the car in 2012, except car type B $$= 54+46+33+47=180$$
Total production of all type car in 2016 $$=55+67+77+49+52=300$$
Hence, the required percentage $$=\dfrac{(300-180)\times100}{300}$$
$$=\dfrac{(120)\times100}{300}$$
$$=40\%$$
