Each of the questions below consists of a question and two statements numbered I and II given below it. You have to decide whether the data provided in the statements are sufficient to answer the question.

Question 69

Six friends A, B, C, D, E and F are sitting around a circular table facing towards the centre. C and F are sitting opposite to each other. Who is sitting to the immediate right of F?

Statement 1: D and E are neighbours
Statement 2: E is sitting to the immediate left of C

Solution

It is given that C and F are sitting opposite each other. So let’s first place C and F in opposite positions.
Now from statement 2 we know that E is to the immediate left of C.
From statement 1 we know that D and E are neighbours. This means that D must be sitting in between E and F.

Now we know that D is sitting to the immediate right of F.
Hence Option C.
