Ram went 20 meters to the north then turned towards east and walked another 5 meters, then he turned towards right and covered 20 meters. How far is he from the starting point?

Solution

Let Ram starts from point A and travels 20 m north to reach B, then he turned towards east for 5 m and finally stops at point D.

Now, AD = BC = 5 m

Thus, Ram is 5 m to the east of starting point.
