Question 66

The lengths of the diagonals of a rhombus are 48 cm and 20 cm. What is the perimeter of the rhombus?

Solution

perimeter of the rhombus = $$2\times\ \sqrt{\ \left(diagonal_1\right)^2\ +\left(diagonal_2\right)^2}$$

= $$2\times\ \sqrt{\ \left(48\right)^2\ +\left(20\right)^2}$$

= $$2\times\ \sqrt{\ 2304\ +400}$$

= $$2\times\ \sqrt{\ 2704}$$

= $$2\times52$$

= 104 cm
