Question 66

If the perimeter of a triangle is 28 cm and its inradius is 3.5 cm, what is its area?

Solution

$$ area of triangle = inradius \times semiperimeter $$

perimeter = 28

semiperimeter = $$ \frac{28}{2} = 14 $$

inradius = 3.5

$$ area = 3.5 \times 14 = 49 cm^2 $$
