The expenses incurred by department D1 is approximately what percent of the expenses incurred by department D6?
Solution
Let's assume the total expense of all the departments together is 100.
The expenses incurred by department D1 = 100 of 19% = 19
The expenses incurred by department D6 = 100 of 12% = 12
Percentage =Â $$\ \frac{19}{12}\times\ 100$$
= 158.33%
