Present ages of P and Q are in the ratio 6 : 7. Q is 4 years elder to P. What is the ratio of their ages after 4
years?

Solution

Let ,P= 6X and Q= 7X.

According to the problem,

7X- 6X = 4

Therefore X=4

P=24 and Q=28

After 4 years, P = 28 and Q = 32

Ratio = 28:32 = 7:8
