Question 64

If $$\frac{1}{(1 + \cos A)} + \frac{1}{(1 - \cos A)} = x$$ , then value of $$x$$ is

Solution

Expression : $$\frac{1}{1 + cos A} + \frac{1}{1 - cos A}$$

= $$\frac{(1 - cos A) + (1 + cos A)}{(1 + cos A)(1 - cos A)}$$

= $$\frac{2}{1-cos^2A} = \frac{2}{sin^2A}$$

= $$2cosec^2 A$$

=> Ans - (C)
