The area of a rectangle is 42sq.cm and its length is 7cm. Find its perimeter.

Solution

Area of a rectangle=length × breadth.

According to the question,

breadth × 7=42.

or,breadth= 42/7=6.

So, perimeter of the rectangle

$$=2(length+breadth)$$

$$=2(7+6).$$

$$=2×13.$$

$$=26.$$

C is correct choice.
