Length and breadth of a rectangle are in the ratio 3:4 while the perimeter of it is 56 cm.What is the area of the rectangle ?
Solution
The length and breadth are in the ratio 3:4
Let them be 3x and 4x respectively.Â
Perimeter = 56
So, 2(7x) = 56
So, x = 4
Area = 3x * 4x = 3*4*4*4 = 192 sq cms
