The length of a train and a platform is equal. The train at the speed of 90km/hr crosses the platform in 1 minute. What is the length of platform ?
Solution
Let length of train = train of platform = $$x$$ m
Speed of train = $$90 \times \frac{5}{18} = 25$$ m/s
Time taken = 1 min = 60 sec
=> $$\frac{x + x}{25} = 60$$
=> $$2x = 60 \times 25 = 1500$$
=> $$x = \frac{1500}{2} = 750$$ m
