Question 62

If $$sec^2\theta+tan^2\theta=\sqrt3$$ then $$sec^4\theta-tan^4\theta$$ then the value is

Solution

Given : $$sec^2\theta+tan^2\theta=\sqrt3$$ ----------(i)

To find : $$sec^4\theta-tan^4\theta$$

= $$(sec^2\theta-tan^2\theta)(sec^2\theta+tan^2\theta)$$

Using equation (i), we get :

= $$1 \times \sqrt{3}=\sqrt3$$

=> Ans - (C)
