The prices of chairs and tables are in the ratio of 9 : 5. If the chairs cost ₹ 4200 more than the tables, Findthe price of the tables?(in ₹)

Solution

Let the price of chair=9x

Let the price of Table=5x

If the chairs cost ₹ 4200 more than the tables . i.e

9x=4200+5x

9x-5x=4200

4x=4200

x=1050

5x=5250
