Question 60

The Bar graph given below presents the number of shoes manufactured by a company on the different days of a week.

The number of shoes manufactured on D5 is how much more than the average number of shoes manufactured per day?

Solution

The number of shoes manufactured on D5 = 966    Eq.(i)

The average number of shoes manufactured per day = $$\frac{720+628+740+942+966+1034+1200}{7}$$

= $$\frac{6230}{7}$$

= 890    Eq.(ii)

Difference = Eq.(i)-Eq.(ii)

= 966-890

= 76

The number of shoes manufactured on D5 is 76 more than the average number of shoes manufactured per day.
