Question 59

A 110 m long train crosses a pole in 12 seconds. What is the speed of the train in km/h?

Solution

As we know that

Speed = $$\frac{distance}{time}$$

Given

Let train length = 110m

Speed = $$\frac{110}{12}$$

Now change into km/ hr

= $$ \frac {110}{12}\times \frac{18}{5}$$ = 33 km/hr
