Question 57

The table given below shows the marks obtained by 4 students in 5 subjects. The maximum marks of each subject is 100.

What is the total percent marks of P4?

Solution

Percentage of marks obtained in S1 = $$\dfrac{91}{100}\times100 = 91$$%

Percentage of marks obtained in S2 = $$\dfrac{37}{100}\times100 = 37$$%

Percentage of marks obtained in S3 = $$\dfrac{65}{100}\times100 = 65$$%

Percentage of marks obtained in S4 = $$\dfrac{58}{100}\times100 = 58$$%

Percentage of marks obtained in S5 = $$\dfrac{62}{100}\times100 = 62$$%

Therefore, Overall percentage = Average of all percentages = $$\dfrac{91+37+65+58+62}{5} = \dfrac{313}{5} = 62.6$$%
