Question 57

The sum of two fractions is $$\frac{3}{4}$$. One of them is $$\frac{2}{3}$$ What is the other fraction?

Solution

Sum of two fraction = A + B

$$\frac{3}{4}$$   = $$\frac{2}{3}$$ + B

$$\frac{3}{4}$$ - $$\frac{2}{3}$$ = B

lcm (4,3) = 12

$$\frac{3-4}{12}$$ = $$\frac{1}{12}$$
