Find the Greatest Common Factor of 280 and 144.

Solution

we will do prime factorisation,

280 = $$2\times\ 2\times\ 2\times5\times\ 7$$

144 = $$2\times\ 2\times\ 2\times2\times\ 3\times\ 3$$

Hence, GCF = $$2\times\ 2\times\ 2=8$$
