The Table given below presents the figures of the production (in thousands) of different types of vehicles by a company during the years 2013-2018.

In how many years is the production of type C vehicles, below the average production of type D vehicles over six years?

Solution

As we know,

$$Average\ =\ \frac{Sum\ of\ observation}{Number\ of\ observation}$$

The average production of type D vehicles over six years = $$\frac{65+63+73+71+70+72}{6}=69$$

We can clearly see from the data given ,

For, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016,The production of Type C vehicle is below average production of type D over all six years.

Hence, Option D is correct.
