The difference between 4/5 of a number and 45% of the number is 56. What is 65% of the number ?
Solution
Let the number be $$x$$
Acc to ques,
=> $$\frac{4x}{5} - \frac{45x}{100} = 56$$
=> $$\frac{16x}{20} - \frac{9x}{20} = 56$$
=> $$\frac{7x}{20} = 56$$
=> $$x = \frac{56 \times 20}{7}$$
=> $$x = 8 \times 20 = 160$$
$$\therefore$$ 65% of $$x$$ = $$\frac{65}{100} \times 160$$
= $$104$$
