The table shows the production of different types of cars (in thousands).
The average production of cars in 2018 is approximately what percent less than the total production of type D cars in 2015 and type B cars in 2017 taken together ?

From the table,
The average production of cars in 2018 =Â $$\frac{65+72+56+68+64}{5}$$ =Â $$\frac{325}{5}$$ = 65
The total production of type D cars in 2015 and type B cars in 2017 taken together = 56 + 64 = 120
$$\therefore\ $$Required percentage =Â $$\frac{120-65}{120}\times100$$
$$=\frac{55}{120}\times100$$
$$=\frac{550}{12}$$
$$=$$ 45.8%
Hence, the correct answer is Option C
