What is the ratio of the total number of persons of ages above 50 years in the villages, B and C, taken together to the total number of persons having ages between 20 and 50 years in the said villages ?
The total number of persons of ages above 50 years in the villages B and C together =Â $$\frac{45}{100}\times6000+\frac{25}{100}\times8000=2700+2000=4700$$
The total number of persons of ages between 20 to 50 years in the villages B and C together =Â $$\frac{35}{100}\times6000+\frac{40}{100}\times8000=2100+3200=5300$$
$$\therefore\ $$Required ratio = 47000 : 53000 = 47 : 53
Hence, the correct answer is Option C
