Table shows the percentage of marks obtained by seven students in six different subjects in an examination. The numbers in the brackets are the maximum marks in each subject.

What are the average marks obtained by all the seven students in Physics? (Correct to two decimal places)

Solution

As per the data given in the question,

The average percentage marks obtained by the student in physics $$\dfrac{90+80+70+80+85+65+50}{7}=\dfrac{520}{7}=74.28$$

As the maximum marks is 120, the average marks obtained is 74.28*120/100 = 89.14
