Question 50

In the following question, select the number which can be placed at the sign of question mark (?) from the given alternatives.

In each row, the third number from the left end is subtracted from the second number and the resulted number is multiplied by 2 to obtain the first number.

Row 1 :

first number = 2(second number - third number)

= 2(61 - 49)

= $$2\times12$$

= 24

Row 2 :

first number = 2(second number - third number)

= 2(94-66)

= $$2\times28$$

= 56

Row 3 :

Let's assume the second number is 'y'.

first number = 2(second number - third number)

32 = 2(y - 61)

(y - 61) = 16

y = 16+61

second number = 77

Hence 77 will come in place of question mark.
