Question 50

If the price of an airline ticket is Rs 7000 then by what amount, monthly Revenue (in Rs. Millions) from sale of tickets of Airline B is greater than that of Airline E?

Solution

Price of 1 ticket = Rs. 7000

Number of tickets sold in Airline B = 11000

=> Revenue from sale of tickets of Airline B = $$7000\times11000=Rs.$$ $$7,70,00,000$$

Number of tickets sold in Airline E = 6000

=> Revenue from sale of tickets of Airline E = $$7000\times6000=Rs.$$ $$4,20,00,000$$

$$\therefore$$ Difference in revenues = $$Rs.(7,70,00,000-4,20,00,000)=Rs.$$ $$3,50,00,000$$

= Rs. 35 millions

=> Ans - (C)
