A sum of Rs. 625 is made up of 80 currency notes which are either Rs. 10 or Rs. 5 denomination. The number of Rs. 10 notes are---------

Let there be x 10 rupee notes. So the number of 5 rupee notes = 80 - x
So, total value of the money = 10x + (80- x)*5
= 10x + 400 - 5x = 400 + 5x
But 400 + 5x = 625
so x = 225/5 = 45
