Solution

9 + 1.8 = 10.8

10.8 + (2*1.8) = 10.8 + 3.6 = 14.4

14.4 + (2*3.6) = 14.4+7.2 = 21.6

21.6 + (2*7.2) = 21.6 + 14.4 = 36

Hence, option A is the right answer.
