Question 47

If in a certain way, $$3 + 4 = 25$$ and $$7 + 24 = 625$$, then find $$9 + 40 = ?$$

Solution

The sum of the square of the numbers is done here.

$$3^2+4^2 = 9+16 = 25$$

$$7^2 + 24^2 = 49+576 = 625$$

$$9^2 + 40^2 = 81+1600 = 1681$$

Hence 1681 will come in place of question mark.
