The average of ten numbers is 8. If each number is multiplied by 15, then the average of the set of numbers is:

Let us assume the numbers areΒ $$x_1,x_2,......x_{10}$$

Thus,Β $$\dfrac{x_1+x_2+x_3+....x_{10}}{10}=8$$

Each number is multiplied by 15, So the average will also be 15 times.

$$\dfrac{15\left(x_1+x_2+x_3+....x_{10}\right)}{10}=15\times\ 8\ =\ 120$$
