A total amount of ₹ 1560 is to be divided among A, B and C such that A gets 50% of what B gets and B gets 20% of what C gets. How much will B get?

Solution

Given,

B=20%C $$-equation1$$

A=50%B $$-equation2$$

also given, A+B+C=1560

$$\frac{50}{100}\times\frac{20}{100}C+\frac{20}{100}C + C =1560$$

C=1200

from $$-equation1$$

B=240
