The height of a cone is $$24 cm$$ and the area of the base is $$154 cm^2$$. What is the curved surface area (in $$cm^2$$) of the cone?

Solution

Let say radius of base is r cm.

So, $$πr^2=154$$

or, r=7.

So, slant height$$=√(7^2+24^2)$$=25 cm.

So, curved surface area=πrl=(22/7)×7×25

$$=550 cm^2$$.

B is correct choice.
