Question 4

Statements:
Mind is a stream of thoughts.
Mind is working all the time.
Conclusions:

I: If there is no thought, there is no mind.
II: Thoughtless people will not succeed.

Solution

We do not have any information about what kind of people succeed. Hence, 2 does not follow.
While it is given that mind has stream of thoughts, but there is no certainty that it is the only constituent of the mind. Hence, we can't say that the mind can't exist if there are no thoughts. Hence, 1 also does not follow.
