Question 4

One side of a rectangle is 12 m and its diagonal is 13 m. Find its area.

Solution

It is given that ;

  • one of the side of rectangle = 12 m
  • Diagonal of Rectangle = 13 m

Other Side of Rectangle = $$\sqrt{(Diagonal)^2 - ( Side)^2}$$

Other Side of Rectangle = $$\sqrt{13^2 - 12^2}$$

Other Side of Rectangle = 5 m

Now, According to the Question's Statement!

We have to find the Area of Rectangle;

Area of Rectangle = $$5\times 12 m^2$$

Area of Rectangle = 60 $$m^2$$
