Persons sitting opposite to each other were not of the same gender. One man was facing the south. Which directions were the women facing?

Let the two men be represented by $$M_1$$ and $$M_2$$ and the two women by $$W_1$$ and $$W_2$$.

No woman was facing the east, => Let $$M_1$$ was facing east.

One man was facing the south, => $$M_2$$ was facing south.

$$\therefore$$ The only directions left for the two woman to face were North and West.
