Study the following graph and answer the question that follows.

If the total number of bikes sold in 2009 was 10000 how many more yellow bikes were sold than green ones?

Solution

Total yellow bikes sold in 2009----10%

Total green bikes sold in 2009----8%

Difference between them---2%

Therefore we find 2% of total no of bikes in 2009 which is 10000

2/100*10000=200 more yellow bikes sold than green bikes.
