A boatman goes 2 km upstream in 1 hour and 1 km downstream in 10 minutes. What is the speed of boat in still water?
$$\frac{2}{x-y}$$ = 1 ---(1)
$$\frac{1}{x+y}$$ = $$\frac{10}{60}$$ ---(2)
from eqn (1) ,x - y = 2 or x=y+2
from eqn (2) , x + y = 6
           y + 2 +y = 6
           y = 2 km/hr

x = y +2 = 4km/hr
