(i) Aweighs twice as much as B
(ii) Bweighs four and a half times as much as C
(iii) C weighs half as much as D
(iv) D weighs half as much as E
(v) E weighs less than A but more than C
Solution
Let the weight of C be c units.
From the given data, we can plot the weights as:
a = 9c, b = 4.5c, d = 2c, e = 4c
Hence, the descending order in weight is: A, B, E, D, C i.e. option A
