A vendor bought Apples at 8 for ₹12 and sold them at 6 for ₹10. Find his gain or loss percent?
Let us say the vendor bought 24 apples. Since he is buying them at a rate of 8 apples for 12 rupees, the total price he would have paid is 36 rupees.
While selling these 24 apples, he is selling them at a rate of 6 apples for 10 rupees. The total money he would receive from the sale is 40 rupees.
Profit made is 4 rupees.
Profit percentage will be (4/9)(100)=11.11%
