The meaning of voyeuristic is pleasure gained when watching others without their knowledge.

It can also mean , "deriving or relating to enjoyment from seeing the pain or distress of others".

Basic Instincts cover a wide range of behaviour patterns. However, voyeuristic needs are specifically sexual in nature. So saying "basic Instinct" is actually an extrapolation which we cannot be 100% sure about.

Option D if wrong would make the argument lose basis because the goal of television channels is to increase revenues and if reality shows don't make more money than other shows then the entire motive of streaming reality shows would fall apart and the channels wouldn't engage in it.
