If a rod of length 208 $$ \frac{4}{5} $$ is cut into equal pieces of length 23 $$ \frac{1}{5} $$ then the total number of rods obtained is:

Solution

Total length of the rod=(208*5+)/5
=1044/5
Length of each piece of rod=(23*5+1)/5
=116/5
Number of pieces of rods=(1044/5)/(116/5)
=9
