Question 28

If the selling price of bananas falls by 20%, we get 5 more bananas for Rs. 10. What was the previous price of one banana ?

Let the price of bananas be x Rs/ banana.

If the price falls by 20%, cost of banana = .8x

Number of bananas for Rs. 10 = 10/.8x

But 10/.8x- 10/x = 5
