Question 26

In $$\triangle ABC$$  $$\angle B=90^\circ$$ AB=5cm. Construction of $$\triangle ABC$$ is not possible if $$ AC-BC $$=?

Solution

According to question,

$$AB^2+BC^2=AC^2.$$

or, $$5^2+BC^2=AC^2.$$

or, $$AC^2-BC^2=25.$$

So, if AC-BC=6.5 the, AC+BC=3.84 which violates the rule of triangle.

So, C is correct choice.
